Tógenkyó (meaning “Peach Blossom Paradise”) is the name given to a special annual selection – each year featuring the finest tea from one of the small tea fields Aleš has taken under his care, alongside Suginomoto, Ikenowaki, and Gokacha.
This year’s tea comes from a garden situated at 350 meters above sea level. According to recent soil analysis, it ranks among the most nutrient-rich locations in all of Higashi-Shirakawa.
This peaceful place, surrounded by forest, mist and silence, offers ideal growing conditions: high rainfall (about 2500 mm/year), frequent morning fog, and large temperature differences between day and night – a unique microclimate perfect for cultivating high-quality sencha.
Thanks to its asamushi processing (light steaming), Tógenkyó Sencha preserves a delicate, clean taste, a fresh green aroma and a smooth finish with gentle sweetness.
Production is extremely limited. Each year, only one such selection is made – unique, unrepeatable
