Hagi is a traditional Japanese ceramic style from the Hagi area in Yamaguchi Prefecture, closely tied to tea culture and wabi-sabi aesthetics. It is prized for its subtly irregular forms and muted glazes that gradually transform with use. The Japanese describe this process as 萩の七化け（hagi no nanabake) — "the seven transformations of Hagi" — and you will witness for yourself how your Hagi piece changes over the years of use.
