Cold Brew in Pure Japanese Form
The Cold Brew Tea Bottle by Japanese brand Hario has a clean, minimalist shape with a filter built directly into the bottle – so you can pour the finished tea straight into your glass with no effort at all. Thanks to its compact shape, the bottle fits easily into a fridge or bag, and all removable parts are easy to clean.
Cold brewing is a slow process that allows the tea leaves to release their flavour gradually, with almost no bitterness. It's a time-tested Japanese way to enjoy a refreshing tea on warm days.
My personal favourites for cold brewing are Kukicha, Sencha, Matcha, and Gyokuro Karigane.

Preparation instructions (for 700 ml)
- Add 10–15 g of tea to the glass bottle.
- Fill the bottle with water up to the 700 ml mark.
- Attach the top part with the filter, then the stopper last.
- Let the tea steep in the fridge for 3–8 hours.
The longer you steep the tea, the more pronounced its flavour will be. We recommend tasting the first brew after 3 hours and adjusting the steeping time further to your taste.
