Yamadori Houjicha takes its name from the mountain pheasant Yamadori – a rare bird that only a fortunate few ever get the chance to see.
Through masterful roasting, this houjicha develops a gently sweet, nutty, and earthy flavor that warms in the winter months and refreshes when prepared cold in summer. Yamadori Houjicha is a calm, approachable, and friendly tea – it doesn’t require strict precision in preparation, yet it always rewards you with a full and satisfying taste.
It yields up to three infusions, each revealing a slightly different character – from the intensity of the first sip to the lightly sweet finish that lingers pleasantly like a gentle memory.
