MATCHA SAE – Ceremonial Matcha for Moments of Focus and Calm
When you need clarity of mind, deep calm, and steady energy without sudden drops, Matcha Sae is the perfect choice. It helps you start the day with lightness and focus, or pause for a moment and turn your attention inward—back to yourself.
This ceremonial matcha from Master Sakamoto is a true gem: brilliantly green, silky smooth, and exceptional in taste. The selected cultivars complement each other to create a velvety flavor with a nutty, creamy aftertaste. Instead of the usual tencha, Sakamoto-san uses his own Gyokuro, carefully stone-milled into the finest powder. The result is a rare gyokuro-matcha, which enhances the tea’s depth, richness, and its unique ability to harmonize body and mind.
Matcha Sae is rich in caffeine and at the same time remarkably high in L-theanine—the amino acid that supports calm alertness. Thanks to this natural synergy, you experience a state of peaceful concentration that lasts for many hours, free of sudden energy crashes.
“With every sip of Matcha Sae, a gentle yet penetrating warmth blooms within the body. Its long aftertaste, creamy texture, and exceptional softness uplift not only the body but also the spirit—whether you’re facing a demanding day, creative work, or simply seeking a quiet moment for yourself.”
This matcha has taught me that the tea ceremony is not just about preparing tea—it is about preparing ourselves. Only then can we truly receive the tea, feel it, and allow it to work within us on a deeper level.
If you prefer complex, multi-layered, and rounded flavors, I recommend the VINTAGE variant, which is more matured. If freshness and liveliness are your choice, pay attention to the current harvest.
