A superbly crafted summer oolong with a unique flavour, made solely from leaves of the Bannockburn B157 cultivar. This cultivar is perfectly suited for oolong production, allowing its aromatic potential to fully unfold. It stands out with elegant floral and fruity notes and a velvety texture. Jun Chiyabari once again delivers great taste without disappointment.
A delicious oolong from a leading Nepalese tea producer, with a flavour that directly evokes buttery biscuits.
The Jun Chiyabari tea garden is located in the hills above the town of Hile in the Dhankuta district. Divided into five sections at altitudes of 1,700–2,100 metres above sea level, it covers an area of 96 hectares. From the very beginning, Jun Chiyabari has been a carefully conceived and planned organic garden project—from the purchase of land at specifically selected locations, through planting chosen cultivars, designing the tea factory, to employing the best people in the tea industry.
The cornerstone of Jun Chiyabari’s philosophy is respect for tea, people, and nature. Their goal is simply to produce the best possible teas while maintaining organic and nature-friendly practices, strongly inspired by Masanobu Fukuoka.
In Nepali, Jun Chiyabari means “moonlit tea garden,” and Jun (純) in Japanese means “pure.”
