Butter Cookies with Japanese Matcha Akane
Our matcha cookies were born from a love of tea and a touch of nostalgia for the homemade butter cookies that used to be carefully guarded in a tin box at home. By adding premium Japanese matcha, we created the perfect companion for tea, coffee, or as a sweet treat for any occasion.
These cookies are delicately sweet, crisp, and carry the subtle taste of matcha that never overshadows your drink. They pair beautifully not only with tea or coffee but also with ice cream, cocktails, wine, or even beer. You can get creative with them too – sandwich them with jam or cream, drizzle with chocolate, use them as a cake base, or crumble them as decoration.
Ingredients: wheat flour, butter, sugar, eggs, Japanese green tea matcha 2.5%
Packaging: 100 g in a resealable food-grade pouch (family and catering packs available on request)
Storage:

unopened: up to 6 months in a cool, dry, dark place below 24 °C

after opening: can be stored for several days in the original packaging

avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures – butter may turn rancid and the matcha may change color
